January 1 2005

Another year gone. Flew by like the wind and another has now started, but are any of us ready for it?

I guess that's up to be seen in the next 364 days that await us before 2006 makes its arrival.

Resolutions? Eh, I haven't been big with those, but I guess it doesn't hurt to make one - even if I don't keep it.

It'll be simple though: study harder to get better grades and read more books. Simple and only two. Start off slow anyway. I can add more throughout the year. Rules are made to be broken, right?

We went to Fallbrook today and it was nice. Cloudy all day, but not too cold. It's supposed to rain through Saturday of next week, I think. So that'll put a damper on the week. Nothing we can't surpass though!

At Target today they had little barbie wannabe's for $0.25 each so I bought enough for all my girls and little cars for all the boys for the end of the year. Hopefully it'll be enough. I spent a bit less than $17. Anything left over can always be donated next Christmas, and that's good enough for me.

I also purchased a Popeyes zip-up sweater for $8 from the original was $32. So, good deal, I believe. (75% off)

I want this thing from Ikea that I saw in a magazine while I was up north... but I can't find it on the website. Hopefully mom will have one so that I can find it in there - if not I'll just have to make a trip down to Burbank in the near future. It should fit behind my bed and be used for clothing. That sounds sooo nice to me.

Mika is being the Princess she is. Of course, this includes some spouts of tiredness and tantrums, but they are all, for the most part, understandable and somewhat justifiable.

I miss her so much when she's not here. But I will see her and my new niece, Camila, in less than a month after she leaves (I fly back to Oakland on the 2nd of February). So that's something to look forward to.

The weird thing? I don't start school until that week! So I don't know if it'll go by slowly or quickly.

Alisa gets back on the 17th from her European cruise (with her parents and uncle and aunt). So maybe I'll wait until she gets back to go to IKEA. We'll see. But I'll have a week before then to go to work and then... the whole day to myself. Eh, I'll find stuff to do. Hopefully take naps to make up for the days I haven't slept since work got out.

My sister is trying to help me to get a different kind of layout up, that's why it's so weird right now.

Now, I wonder, is anyone actually still reading? I didn't mean for it to get so long, but I have some time (Mika seems to be enjoying herself with the others) and thought I'd update.

But, alas, I shall go and prepare the table for a delicious dinner (or so I hope!).

Again, my friends, Happy New Year! May all your dreams and wishes come true!
